Stimmt es das Win 98 nur 512 MB RAM unterstützt?

    Wollte doch aufrüsten und jetzt da möglicherweise nichts draus. :(

    Wo sehe ich - wieviel RAM ich bereits hab?
    Vielleicht sind es doch erst 256 MB.

    So - ich hab nachdem ich 2 Std. mein Zimmer aufgeräumt habe ( ein willkommender Anlass ) und jede menge Zeug weggeworfen habe, die Info zum Motherboard gefunden. :)

    Da steht:


    DIMMS that have more than 18 chips are not supperted on this motherboard.
    For the systhem CPU to operate at 200 MHz / 266 MHz, use only PC1600-/PC2100- compliant DIMMS.


    ASUS motherboards support SPD ( Seriel Presence Detect ) DIMMs. This is the memory of choise for the best performance vs. stability.
    BIOS shows SDRAM memory on bootup screen.
    Single - sidet DDR DIMMs come in 64, 128, 256 MB , double- sidet come in 128, 256 and 512 MB

    Speicherbausteine mit mehr als 18 Chips sind nicht mit diesem Motherboard kompatibel. Um mit der CPU auf 200 / 266 MHz zu "operieren", benutzen sie nur PC1600 / PC2100-kompatible Bausteine.

    da steht das mainboard braucht ddr-ram, 266 mhz getacktet, pc 2100. jedem händler kannst du das so sagen und der weiss genau was du haben willst.
    im schlimmsten aller fälle nimmste die beschreibung deines mainboards einfach mit ;)
