  • you don't say 'Good day' in English ;)

You do! :p Just not in this context, for sure.

aeliss? Have you already sent the letter? If not, you should correct this:

    Zitat

For sure I made many boobs XD

...because boobs are 'breasts', not 'mistakes' or whatever you wanted to say :D.

EDIT: Ah, I just noticed that Lauri's already told you :).

Seriously, I have to admit that I'm too lazy to look up words in my PONS dictionary where I need to switch between two books: PONS English -> German and PONS German -> English. I prefer asking LEO. You simply need to check the connotation of the translation you chose by looking up this word again.

Sure using leo is faster, however, you should take into account that credulity might be crucial here. If you only choose a translation without checking out its further meanings, you might push yourself in an awkward situation.

  • I have a sore throat and I'm sneezing all the time and it's too hot and and and ...
I hate that. I've slept for 3 hours after school and I'm not hungry all the time. I hate this weather. Perhaps I'm ill, but I can't find our clinical thermometer, so I don't know if I have a temperature.

And the english lesson today was horrible. We did talk about 'inversion' - when you say "Nor did he have ..." instead if "Nor he did have", and our teacher asked for more examples for the inversion from the text we've read and one boy everytime named questions. Argh, that was so stupid.
After 5 years learning we have 'inversion'. Wonderful. :illepall

In fact I like Leo. It is really fast when you want to find a word and it has many translations. I can't handle a book dictianory that fast, too.

oh yes, i noticed it by mself.
