I had one as well, an original one even, but I suspect a ... not friend, certainly, but a girl I knew and sometimes spent time with, of having stolen it. Bitch.
Then I had another one; not original, but great anyway. That was good fun, and my mother had to care for it while I was in school - looking back now, I'm amazed that she managed it, and that she actually did it. *coughs* Mrs 'I don't know how to write an SMS on my own mobile' *coughs*

Pardon? I thought that they died several years ago. At least I hope(d) so.
I don't have and never had a tamagotchi. I got a beloved dog who barks and needs attention in real. From time to time I regret that I can't remove the battery, anyway, do you want to hug a small plastic box? Does a tamagotchi have a wet nose with which it kisses you on your cheek?
well, i'm not allowed to have a dog or something like that, so a tamagotchi is a good alternative.
after a while they get on my nervs. -
Uhm, yea i know.
Lets talk about.. TAMAGOTCHIS!Pardon? I thought that they died several years ago. At least I hope(d) so.

what you say tugs at my heartstrings quite painfully right now.
i miss my rabbits. a lot. i wish they were here with me and not at my oma's place. they don't belong there >_<'yeah, right. as if rabbits had a better life on a balcony in cologne than in a garden in a tiny village.

If you want to improve your English, you really should read your favourite books in English. It helps and is fun. You’ll get a feeling for the language and learn new vocabulary.
Anyway I’ll cross my fingers for you, hoping that the last test will turn out better.+Jasminachen: Well, I stopped reading german translations of english novels a few years ago and am an admirer of the english literature, but still, thanks ;).
The actual problem is not my vocabulary or grammar - and my essays are generally quite good, too - but I am just unable to understand my teacher's questions and answer them satisfactorily whenever it comes to reading comprehensions. I kind of know all the answers but I seemingly have problems expressing myself in a few sentences and either read between the lines where I shouldn't or - when interpreting is required - do that too little because I think everything important is already on the page.
But okay, my teacher is seldomly satisfied with the answers we give; to be honest I cannot remember once that someone, in her opinion, has answered all the quesions correctly. But it's really funny, all those who generally have difficulties writing essays, had excellent marks on the this reading comprehension test whereas nearly all of the very good "essayists" and former good students got a 4.
BWAH - tomorrow! But in a few hours everything is going to be finally!! over and on monday I'm off to Italy anyway, and even though I don't get rid of the teachers because it's a school trip it surely will be a nice change.
Ok, I'm going to bed as well as we poor Austrians only had 4 days (including the weekend) (of?) Pfingstbreak.

Kölntreffen? What’s that?
A meeting in Cologne with users from a different forum. Louise and me are members of it so she knew what I was talking about.
You're so right about reading books in English, it really helps. I've read a lot of english books, and it's always more fun than reading them in German.
You feel closer to the characters, because you know how they really talk/think, so it's a whole new reading experienceThere is a fly in my room and it won't go away. It's so annoying ...

the leo deutsch englisch- dictionary says it. -
Damn, haven`t been here for a long time! Didn`t know there is a english thread.
*walks in*
Is the topic still that tamagotchie thing? If yes, I had one when I was 13. These things are so annoying. :/
I played about 2 weeks with my tamagotchi and took the accumulator out then...heheAnd that english books thing. You two are quite right. It is always better to read originals, cause german translations are often very bad.
I stopped reading translated books about 3 years ago and I must say it is much better.
It is the same with movies here. I wait until they are on DVD and watch the english version. I don`t know why the translations are so bad sometimes...really. -
it's the first time i'm visiting this thread.
my english isn't the best.
today, i've get a good mark in english (2).
momently i'm very proud, in the 7th class i never get a mark that was worser than 3-.
but that can change fastly.
i hope you can sustain (leo sagts XD) my english.and last - bust not least.
